Job Description
Essential Functions of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that.
1.Provides logistical and administrative support to Advancement Operations teams including Donor Relations, Special Events, Data Management, and Gift Processing.
2. Helps to maintain Raiser Edge database through regular data input, processing gifts, and recording correspondence.
3. Helps to complete administrative and budget related tasks including submitting invoices for payment, routing contracts for approval, organizing and executing mailings, and other related tasks.
4. Provide logistical support of fundraising events, special events and site visits including preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and other activities which may require evening and weekend schedules.
5. Assist Advancement team in preparing donor correspondence including letters, reports and relevant updates; and completes other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
1. PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the subject area and proficiency within their areas of expertise and uses appropriate judgment in all programmatic work. Demonstrates ability to quickly gather pertinent facts, weigh options, and make decisions in critical or crisis situations in consultation with their chain of command. In all instances, promotes a positive image for the organization through relationships with donors, external groups, and other relevant parties.
2. PRODUCTIVITY AND COMPLIANCE : Complies with organizational policies and procedures, and professional standards. Conducts work responsibilities in a timely manner and ensures high level of quality in all instances. Makes recommendations to enhance current services and methods of delivery and implements any program/departmental improvements as needed or required.
3. PROFESSIONALISM AND ETHICAL CONDUCT: Follows all ethics policies and procedures related to program execution and decision-making as defined by the organization as well as any related professional licensing, regulatory or accrediting body. Maintains confidentiality of client, staff and agency information. Reports any known or suspected breaches of confidentiality in accordance with Agency policy. Reports possible misconduct or relevant errors/oversights in a timely manner and responsibly addresses related issues with chain of command. Ensures organization funds are handled according to policies and procedures and ensures accurate reporting of funds per department procedures. Education and Experience Requirements:
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
Relevant Experience:
Preferred: 2-3 Years of development experience including demonstrated success in individual and online giving fundraising and management. Experience with fundraising and data management systems; Raiser's Edge is highly desirable. Experience with moves management including, but not limited to, prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
Minimum: 1-2 Years of development experience including demonstrated success in individual and online giving fundraising and management.
