Staffing Now , a division of SNI Companies , has an immediate Bilingual Paralegal opening working for our client in Houston, TX. The position is working for a legal services company that has multiple locations nationwide. The hours of the position are Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. A summary of the position is as follows:
Responsibilities:

• Manage prosecution of ~1,000 tax cases in three district courts, as assigned by the litigation attorney.
• Monitor service status and ensure proper service to defendants for enforceable judgments.
• Prepare necessary pleadings to obtain valid and enforceable judgments in proceedings.
• Communicate with taxpayers and defendants to prosecute cases and collect delinquent taxes and fees.
• Coordinate trial settings, draft final judgments, and maintain communication with court clerks.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, associate's degree preferred
• 2+ years of administration experience working in a professional office environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Intermediate technical skills using MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Real estate/property tax/foreclosure experience a plus.
