Job Description
- Manage a diverse caseload of business litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to business disputes.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Participate in all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting document reviews, and preparing witnesses for deposition.
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various business-related matters.
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments, regulations, and case law impacting business litigation.
- Assist senior attorneys in mentoring and training junior associates and legal staff.
Job Requirements - Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar of Ohio and in good standing.
- 3 to 4 years of experience practicing law, focusing on business litigation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
- Team player who can work collaboratively as part of a dynamic legal team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work product.
- Prior experience in drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and trial experience is preferred but optional.
