Overview:
UF Health Laboratories offers all of the services of a modern clinical laboratory. Our team has a reputation for accuracy and proficiency. Your tests are performed quickly, and results are readily available to your physicianno matter which lab location you choose.
The Medical laboratory scientist generalist is responsible for performance of diagnostic procedures in the area for which they are assigned. This position requires an individual who is highly skilled in areas that they are licensed. This individual helps maintain an excellent rapport between Laboratory staff and other hospital departments.
Must be able to work every other weekend
$4000.00 Sign on Bonus Eligible: One-Year Commitment
The following sign on premium amounts will be paid in two installments (first half will be paid after the team member has been in the premium eligible position for (90 days) 3 months and second half will be paid after the team member has been in the premium eligible full-time position for (365 days) 1 year.

- Leaves bench assigned stocked, communicates clearly with other shift using log/verbal, notes or other appropriate tools.

- Completes assigned work as scheduled in allotted time frame including Turnaround time, proficiency testing

- Performs routine patient testing including identification, preparation, specimen collection, handling, processing, testing and reporting including Critical results according to Lab standards.

- Reports and records timely and correctly including patient, QC, proficiency testing, preventative maintenance records

- Operation of assigned Lab instruments including reviewing of QC, maintenance and function checks

- Engages in departmental meetings, PI projects, educational offerings to peers, mentoring/precepting of new team members

- Attends Staff Meetings, completes all required competencies and mandatory education as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Associates degree in MLT or related field (Required)
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- FL Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (TN)
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
