Kinsa is recruiting for a: 2 nd Shift Production Supervisor - Snacks Category Location: Allentown, PA Area Mission: Our client, a producer of premium snack products, is looking for a 2 nd Shift Production Supervisor to add to their team. In this position you will be responsible for the ongoing management of assigned manufacturing area, on assigned production shift, from the receipt of incoming raw materials in the kitchen, through cooking, processing and packaged finished product to ensure the Production. Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below). Compensation/Benefits: Compensation: 75-80k, bonus opportunity Medical, Dental, Vision Paid Vacation/Holidays Retirement Benefits Relocation Assistance What you'll be responsible for: Lead team of Line Leads and production employees to achieve performance standards with regard to employee and food safety, product quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), manufacturing costs, line efficiencies, ingredient and packaging yields, productivity and schedule attainment. Effective execution of short- and long-term production plans. Communicate production schedules, changeovers and production startups to all associated personnel across Manufacturing, Maintenance and Supply Chain. Monitor manufacturing equipment and coordinate/follow up with Maintenance as required to maintain production line efficiency and reliability while minimizing downtime. Monitor and ensure compliance to all product formulas, machine set up parameters (process and packaging), production staffing requirements, and all process and packaging SOPs. Coordinate with Supply Chain to verify and ensure availability of all required ingredients and packaging to execute the current production schedule (3 day in advance minimum) Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve product quality, production line efficiencies and product cost. Maintain a level of sanitation with regard to both production equipment and facilities as required to ensure food safety at all times. Develop staff through use of training, setting of expectations, providing positive as well as constructive feedback and recognizing good performance Enforce all Company safety rules, regulations and policies, as well as food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Competencies/Culture: 2+ years of Production Operations experience in a manufacturing environment Leadership experience Strong desire to learn CI and Lean principles Experience working in a fast paced/changing environment Packaging experience a plus Referrals are our best source for the top talent our clients need so if you know of anyone with these skills in the food and beverage industry, please pass me their name and email/phone number, or share this job posting with them.
