Description
The Machine Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a small team of machinists in addition to operating and programming CNC machines, including lathes and Haas models. This role will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality parts and components.
Main Responsibilities
•Manage daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
•Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance or personnel issues.
•Utilize lathes, Haas machines, and other CNC equipment to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering specifications.
•Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
•Monitor production progress, ensuring timely completion of projects while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
•Ensure adherence to machining best practices and safety protocols, continuously improving processes to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
•Work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall efficiency.
•Track and control inventory levels of tools, materials, and supplies to support continuous machining operations.
Requirements
•Several years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with at least 2-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
•Hands-on experience operating various machine shop equipment such as CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and drills.
