The Inventory Technician II will be responsible for inbound receiving, organizing, monitoring, replenishing, moving, and maintaining inventory for the production floor.
Hours : Monday - Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm. Overtime as needed on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive incoming deliveries of purchased goods into the ERP system
- Report any discrepancies of incoming materials to appropriate team member
- Move parts from Receiving to proper locations
- Create and manager hot sheets and distribute parts accordingly
- Pull parts and necessary supplies for production according to schedule
- Manage centralized and POU inventory locations
- Stage parts for the Cells based on the production schedule/white boards
- Move parts from Receiving to proper locations
- Open and dispose of packaging to present the part to the cell in useable form
- Participate in material management improvement projects
- Assist with RMA's
- Set up and manage physical stock locations - bins, labels, supermarkets, mini-marts, shopping carts, overstock locations, etc.
- Initiate and perform cycle counts to schedule and report actual counts to Inventory Technician III
- All other inventory movement, counting, or set up as assigned.
Materials and Equipment Utilized: - Tape gun, utility knife, computer, WAV, possible power tools, forklift
Working Environment: - Office/Manufacturing environment - clean, low to moderate noise, safety glasses required, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable.
Requirements
Education/Training: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or a combination of both
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with computers
- Understanding of ERP system is a plus
- Knowledge of the manufacturing flow
- Great communication skills
- Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with limited supervision
- Work environment is very fast paced; individual must be able to adjust work tempo to match customer demand
- Must be detailed oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines as assigned
Travel Requirements: - Very minimal
- Traveling between Village companies
Physical Requirements: - Able to stand for long periods, walk, climb, bend, and reach with hands and arms
- Lift up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Vision abilities include close vision and color vision
