Shipping & Receiving Coordinator Role Summary We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team. The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all the shipping, receiving, and put-away activities.
Key Results Area - Prepare paperwork and assemble orders for shipment
- Responsible for shipping freight, conventions, and normal orders
- Work with shipping companies to schedule trucks
- Prepare packing lists and bills of lading (BOL) via the manifest system
- Creation of export documentation for international shipment
- Maximize load density and efficiencies
- Verify receipts and orders for accuracy, count and note damage exceptions on bill of lading
- Update all reports necessary to track receiving metrics
- Schedule receiving appointments and update appropriate forms
- Responsible for handling incoming returned materials
- Update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) with transactions
- Report any discrepancies as necessary
- Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
- Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customers' expectations
- Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
- Participate in process improvement by communicating with supervisor and team lead
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices, and work instructions
- All other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications - High School diploma or GED is required OR three (3) years of relevant warehouse experience
- PC skills, specifically, Microsoft Word and Excel are required
- Previous experience working in a warehouse using a WMS is required
- Strong math, analytical, and reading skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 pounds, carrying, bending, sitting, stretching, and standing for long periods
