Nursing Manager - Operating Room - Full Time Days
  • Department: Operating Room
  • Schedule: Full Time Days
  • Hospital: Henry Ford Genesys
  • Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan
GENERAL SUMMARY:
  • Manages activities, workflow and nursing resources for one or more assigned nursing units.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
  • Develops and maintains quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
  • Monitors and adheres to budget.
  • Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Ensures a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction.
  • Conducts hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Required professional licensure/certification, associate's degree in nursing.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained before the hire date or job transfer date required.
  • 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
  • Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained on the hire date or job transfer date.
  • The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, a minimum of two years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in surgical services.
  • BSN or MSN highly preferred.
