GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Accurately receive merchandise into inventory, ensuring merchandise meets quality standards; accurately post purchase orders and reconcile inventory discrepancies; send all posting paperwork to Business Office in a timely manner; communicate with supervisor regarding any inventory errors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. POSTING
•Accurately post all purchase orders
•Research and reconcile discrepancies to ensure an accurate accounting of inventory
•Review a variety of periodic reports for inventory shortages/overages, margin control, transfers, etc.
•Send posting documentation to Accounts Payable in timely manner
•Ensure merchandise credits are organized by vendor/department and that they are reviewed and processed regularly to maximize credit
•Upon request, or in response to a correction, initiate and complete transfers of inventory
•Upon request, conduct cycle counts of inventory
II. RECEIVING
•Electronically receive incoming deliveries of inventory
•Physically verify all merchandise receiving against manifests/invoices to verify correct quantity has been received
•Inspect condition of incoming inventory to ensure it arrives in good condition
•Maintain stockroom in an orderly, organized manner for safety and efficiency
•Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
•Transfer negative quantities to correct discrepancies, when required, to ensure inventory accuracy
•Scan merchandise to ensure that the UPC and/or SKU scan properly in the inventory management system
•Upon request, conduct cycle counts of inventory
III. OTHER
•In coordination with the salesfloor team, price merchandise, apply SKU stickers to merchandise, make inventory bin tags, and merchandise signs before taking to the salesfloor
•Stock merchandise, as required
•Provide salesfloor support, as required
•Demonstrate reliable, predictable attendance
•Demonstrate The Grange Way in all interactions
•Uphold all policies and procedures of Grange Co-op
•Perform other tasks and duties as required by supervising manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
•This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
•Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
•Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
•Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
REASONING ABILITY
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

•Distribution/warehousing experience preferred

•Experience with EPICOR Eagle point of sale/inventory management system preferred
•Comprehensive understanding of the company and its products and services
•Comprehensive understanding of average costing method of inventory management
•Ability to perform effectively and efficiently in both individual and team environments
•Ability to be trained to use all equipment, tools and applications at warehouse-level
•Strong desire and aptitude towards continual process improvement

The pay range for this role is:
17.97 - 21.97 USD per hour (Distribution)
