President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Project Access Now (PANOW) partners with the community to create equitable access to whole person care and social services and to advocate for systemic change.Our team of well-trained system navigators support community members with complex social needs, bridging the gap between the social care and health care systems. Partnering organizations—the clinics, community-based organizations, hospitals, etc.—are then able to provide their mission-based services knowing PANOW supports navigation, person-centered benefits education, and regional administrative functions minimizing duplication across partners.Role Responsibilities:Job Title: President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Department: AdministrationReports to: Board of DirectorsHours: 40 hours per week / Full Time / ExemptCompensation: $160,000-$175,000/yearWork Location: Hybrid remote and in our office location in Portland, OR.Position Summary/Priorities:Project Access Now is recruiting for a President/CEO to lead PANOW in implementing its new strategic plan while navigating the ever-changing health environment in Oregon.As President/CEO, you will be a strong advocate for healthcare access and funding from legislative bodies, partners, and healthcare funders. You will lead a staff of 40+ individuals meeting the needs of thousands of low-income and underserved Oregonians needing assistance accessing health-related services.The President/CEO will be responsible for implementing the strategic plan with support of staff and board by developing tactics and measurable success factors that lead Project Access Now to fulfill its mission.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the lead ambassador for the organization and a champion of health access and equity in Oregon.Build bridges to healthcare funding for the services PANOW provides.Maintain and develop a broad spectrum of individual, private sector, and government relationships.Participate in local, regional, and state committees, councils, advisory boards, and community groups.Keep the board, staff, and key stakeholders apprised of current legislation and healthcare industry developments.Provide oversight to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.Develop and maintain relationships with public and private funding sources.Lead the strategic development of a diversified funding base.Advise and ensure staff teams operate collaboratively at a high professional level.Collaborate with the board of directors to evaluate and revise the organization’s mission, vision, and values.Candidate Qualifications:Qualifications:7+ years of relevant experience as a senior director in a nonprofit organization or government agency.Strong fiscal management skills, including experience in developing and managing budgets over $5,000,000.Substantial healthcare access/health equity work experience.Knowledge of the Oregon Medicaid System.Experience successfully cultivating individual and corporate donors.Core Competencies Required:Create a diverse and inclusive environment.Think creatively and serve as a thought leader.Lead teams of people through change in a positive way.Facilitate difficult conversations.Speak publicly to large and small audiences in a compelling way.Working Conditions:Must have access to transportation for travel within the Portland Metropolitan Area.Must pass a criminal background check.Proof of vaccination against COVID-19, or qualifying exception with compliance with organizational policies.About Us:The mission of Project Access NOW is to improve our community's health and well-being by creating access to care, services, and resources for those in need.Project Access NOW offers a generous benefits package:100% employer-paid health insurance plan including medical, dental, vision.401k Retirement Plan with immediate access to a 3% employer match.10 paid holidays and 4 paid floating holidays.17 days PTO for sick leave, personal business, vacation.100% employer-paid Life and Disability Insurance.How to Apply Application Instructions:Submit your cover letter and resume at this link .
