The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following:

• Oversee the painting operations for designated department(s) and shift.
• Assign jobs to appropriate personnel.
• Updates the schedule requirements to painters.
• Provide guidance to painters and general labor.
• Verify that painters / general labor are painting quality parts.
• Evaluate jobs for productivity.
• Promote and participate on continuous improvement teams.
• Stop production when quality issues are detected.
• Coordinate employee actions for subordinates to include evaluations, discipline, training, testing and career development.
• Participate in hiring new personnel and setting up training schedules.
• Manage and ensure safety policies and procedures are being followed and work directly with safety personnel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a job shop or contract manufacturing environment in a supervisor position.
• Comfortable and sufficient working within Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
• Background or experience working within the paint industry is preferred.
• Ability to lift up 50lbs. as needed and comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled environment.
