Summary:
The Senior Accountant provides a hand's on approach to the leadership and coordination of company's accounting and billing department
functions including accounts payable, payroll and revenue recognition while ensuring the accounting
procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
1. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
2. Manage and lead all aspects of the day-to-day accounting function, including accounts receivable,
accounts payable and general ledger to provide accurate financial reporting and analysis in a
timely manner.
3. Oversee the billing and Medical Record department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounts.
4. Review month-end financial close and related general ledger activity for all locations.
5. Develop processes and procedures that enhance work efficiencies and improve the department's
ability to serve the company.
6. Maintain the internal control environment, including the safeguard of assets and effective
segregation of duties to ensure that transactions are recorded properly and minimize the
opportunity for impropriety.
7. Manage, mentor and provide development for team members, including hiring and training.
8. Manage annual audit process, oversee preparation of audited financials, and resolve audit issues
to ensure successful and timely completion of required audits.
9. Work to continually improve the accounting and financial processing systems and procedures
processes.
10. Assist with annual budgeting and financial planning processes.
11. Partner and collaborate across multiple departments to provide financial support and analysis
necessary to drive alignment and sound decision making.
12. Assist the executive leadership team with special projects as needed.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's degree; and 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience. Knowledge of basic mathematic principles, typing and computer
operations, including DOS and Windows. Absolute integrity and sufficient maturity to handle
the confidential aspects of the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form.
