Progress Rail is seeking an experienced Product Manager to support software development and deployment for the Advanced Rail Technology team in Fort Worth, TX.
The Product Manager supports the technology projects:
• For projects in the development stage, they coordinate with the Deployment and Engineering teams to ensure product roadmaps and release plans are aligned to engineering resourcing and task plans.
• Collaborate with other Advanced Rail Technology product managers on product roadmap development.
• Your leadership will drive the success of our platform, influencing both its development and its impact on the market.
The purpose of this position is to ideation, development, and execution of world class rail products and services vital to our customer’s needs. This role will enable innovative, strategic, and high-tech solutions for the rail industry through the application of specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities. Work involves independent judgement, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, teamwork, and creativity in ambiguous situations. A high degree of personal initiative is a prerequisite.

Key Job Elements
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
• Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap, aligning it with overall company goals and objectives.
• Define and prioritize product requirements based on customer feedback, market analysis, and business priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create and refine product concepts, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Drive the product development process, including prioritization, planning, and execution, while focusing on quality and timelines.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and marketing strategy.
• Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize product features and drive customer satisfaction.
• Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business partners to create prototypes and proof of concepts.
Education / Training
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Master of Business Administration degree a plus.
• 5+ years as a Product Manager.
Preferred Credentials:
• Rail automation, signaling, transportation, or mechanical experience.
• Technology or Rail industry experience.
• 7-10 years product management experience leading cross functional teams.

• Strong understanding of product management
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Identify and handle technical risks and issues.
• Strong critical thinking and root cause identification skills.
• Self-starter with ability to drive progress across teams.
• Strong inter-relational abilities.
Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength – Position typically involves office managerial work as well as oversight in an industrial environment. Frequent standing, sitting, and walking. Occasional light to medium-level lifting (up to 30 pounds);
• Motion – Position regularly requires standard motions associated with an office environment as well as standard motions associated with leading and demonstrating in an industrial environment;
• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
• Work Environment – Position will occasionally require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Position may involve work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Position is located in an industrial environment, including occasional exposure to noise (85+ decibels), occasional exposure to temperature changes, and other hazardous working conditions;
• Emotional Demands – Very high level of responsibility. Must be able to coordinate diverse aspects of a project. Requires significant interpersonal skills while sustaining very high standards;
• Safety – Position will occasionally require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
