Must perform miscellaneous tasks requiring hand labor for the development and maintenance of tribal lands and structures in addition to the supervision of maintenance staff, monitoring work production, work assignments and projects by the maintenance staff.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust have 5 years prior maintenance and/or construction experienceMust have one or more certifications from the following fields mechanical, electrical or plumbing Must be able to Interpret blue prints, drawings and specificationsMust possess knowledge and ability to safely operate tractors, bush hog, backhoe, forklift, and all other equipment used by the maintenance staff. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and drag or pull 100 lbs. Must be willing to periodically come in early and work late as needed. Others duties as assigned.Must be available 24 hours a day for maintenance emergencies that may arise. Must have knowledge of International Building Codes, National Electric Codes.Must be able to Interpret blue prints, drawings and specificationsRequires a high level of problem solving skillsRequires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skillsMust be able to pass a criminal background checkMust be able to pass drug/alcohol testingMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving record - may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicle
