SUMMARY
As a Dental Assistant, your ability to anticipate needs, maintain a sterile office environment and keep accurate records greatly contributes to the success of the dentist and the satisfaction of the patient.

ATTRIBUTES
At least one (1) year experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
Basic computer and keyboarding skills
Ability to anticipate needs and multitask with excellent customer service
Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dental Assistance. Prepare dental supplies necessary for each patient; anticipate dentist needs for instrumentation and materials during the procedural treatment on the patient; assist with x-rays, fillings and positioning suction tubes
Sterilization & Maintenance. Clean and sterilize all dental instruments following proper procedures
Documentation & Coordination. Maintain all patient records and update as necessary
EDUCATION:
Trade Certificate/Program Completion (Required)
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) - Dental Assistant National Board (DANB), Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) - NYSED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
