Job Details
- Any traveler not currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer.
- Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment.
- Proof of flu vaccination or facility approved application for medical or religious exception will be required prior to contract start date.
- Flu vaccination can be administered during employee health clearance appointment.
- This is a 34-bed post-surgical (adults) unit.
- General Job duties: Types of procedures required, Standard RPN III duties/skills, Knowledgeable in surgical pre/postoperative care.
- Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: Vital signs machines; IV & PCA pumps; EMR charting; Pyxis. Chest tubes, suctions, SCDs.
- Required skills and minimum years of experience: Standard RPN III skills (at least 1-2 yrs. experience) in order to be proficient in duties and role as a registered nurse; strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing i.e., abdominal surgeries, like lap chole/Appy, resections, and mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, different drainages, etc. Also, orthopedic nursing, like hip/shoulder arthroplasties, etc.
