About You:

We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a team sport, and our ideal candidate is someone who feels the same. The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable with anesthesia, various drug calculations and protocols, and excels at anesthetic monitoring. Previous experience and knowledge with all aspects of general practice including with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, as well as restraint are also crucial for this role. The ideal candidate will work closely with our veterinarians to ensure the safe administration of anesthesia and monitor patients throughout the entire process. Other responsibilities include effective communication with both team members and clients, as well as confidently educating pet owners about their pets' care and procedures.


Compensation: $19.50.-$26.00 an hour depending on experience.


Anticipated schedule:
4-5 days a week

Weekends and some holidays are required.

Requirements

3-5 years of GP anesthesia experience, and preferably a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Experience with common induction agents/anesthetic agents/analgesia agents

Ability to calculate general drug calculations

Can read ECG, capnograph and respond appropriately

Knowledge on how and when to use a non-rebreather circuit

Knowledge when to react with BP readings and what to do in each situation

Skilled in time management with an understanding of the importance of table times
