Job Details
- Float Pool position at Weirton Medical Center in West Virginia.
- Will be expected to float to multiple units of varying acuity levels, including ED and CCU if within skillset.
- Common diagnoses include NSTEMI, Pneumonia, Sepsis, Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Diverticulitis.
- Must have 5 years of experience, preferably with 1 year of ICU or ED experience.
Job Requirements
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (if working in CCU or ED).
- Must be comfortable taking patient ratios from 1:2-10.
- Experience in managing critical drips if working in ED or CCU.
Schedule Information
- Self-scheduling with 3 12-hour shifts per week.
- Travelers submit their ideal schedule, but nothing is finalized until balanced.
- Schedule is made out for 4 weeks at a time.
- Every other weekend required.
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotation.
Additional Details
- Charge nurse may take an assignment as needed.
- Nurses expected to read and interpret telemetry strips.
- 1 day of orientation and 1 day with a preceptor before working independently.
