Job Details
- ED Holds/Tele position at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.
- Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, through UNA, only (with 2 max attempts).
- There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation.
Job Requirements
- Must have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years.
- Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters.
- Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical.
- RNs are required to titrate drips.
Schedule Information
- 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a)
- Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time.
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
- Rotate in with the perm staff for holiday requirements.
Additional Details
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele.
- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: ED charge nurse.
- Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips. No monitor tech in the ED.
- Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital.
