We are currently seeking an experienced
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for our
Skilled Nursing Facility in
Rockland County, NY.Key Responsibilities: - Support the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing daily nursing operations and ensuring high-quality care for all residents.
- Lead weekly assessments of wound care and skin integrity.
- Assist in compliance monitoring and maintain effective communication across all nursing levels.
- Ensure that all residents' healthcare needs are met in a timely and comprehensive manner.
- Be available 24/7 for on-call responsibilities.
- Guide and manage the overall nursing service planning and execution.
- Stay updated on best practices and nursing methodologies.
- Guarantee accurate and timely completion of medical documentation and records.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new nursing staff.
- Supervise and manage staffing processes daily to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Adapt to changing schedules to meet the needs of the facility.
Qualifications: - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care environments.
- At least 2 years of management experience preferred.
- Experience in staff education and training is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
