Job Description
A Skilled Nursing Facility in Rockland County, NY is looking to fill a Director of Nursing (DON) opening.

Position Overview:
  • Manage and lead the nursing team within the facility
  • Design, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing personnel
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels while promoting ongoing professional development for the team
  • Monitor and manage staff performance and conduct
  • Stay informed about any incidents within the facility
  • Evaluate the healthcare needs of residents on an ongoing basis
Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
  • At least 5 years of experience in a long-term care environment
  • A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and lead a team
