  • ICU nursing position at Thomas Memorial Hospital
  • Working with critically ill patients with complex needs
  • Invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring
  • Experience with CRRT and IABP preferred
  • Minimum of one to two years of critical care experience required
  • Travel experience required

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • PALS preferred
  • ICU experience required
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 6:45 am - 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm - 7:15 am
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: Rotational
  • Block scheduling allowed, especially for night shifts
  • Floating required to Stepdown and Med-Surg/Telemetry if needed
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit: ICU
  • Ratios: 1 nurse to 2 patients, sometimes 3 patients
  • Common titratable drips include Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin
  • Floating to Med-Surg is rare, travelers float in rotation
    Additional Details
  • Charge Nurse primarily without patients
  • Hospitalist available 24/7
  • RT available as needed, not stationed in ICU
  • No Monitor Tech, RNs read strips
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy for RNs/LPNs, Dark Grey/Pewter for C.N.As/Monitor Techs
