Physical Therapist at Samaritan Health Services summary: As a Physical Therapist, I provide safe and effective rehabilitation services to patients with various conditions, focusing on pelvic health. I work within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, employing advanced treatment techniques in a state-of-the-art facility, and am committed to delivering evidence-based care that meets patient needs. Previous experience may be required. Employment commitment to Samaritan is required. • We are looking for a pelvic health trained therapist that will help grow and build our pelvic health program! We have a large referral base with system wide support and mentorship for pelvic health therapists. • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE - Responsible for providing safe and effective Physical Therapy services by implementing appropriate evaluation, treatment, and education designed to meet the identified needs and functional goals of the patient. Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, families/caregivers, and team members. Promotes teamwork. • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION - The Rehabilitation teams at Samaritan evaluate and treat patients with injuries or conditions that have caused either a decline in self-care, physical mobility or functional independence. We are a collaborative multi-disciplinary team of therapists offering cutting-edge, evidence based practice and compassionate individualized treatment. We provide specialty care from pediatrics to geriatrics, from neurological to women‘s health, from lymphedema care to wheelchair fitting and more. Our acute services are centered out of Samaritan‘s Regional Medical system, a 160 bed, level 2 trauma center. Our hub status affords us a complex patient census that is among the state‘s top 5 in acuity. Our outpatient clinic features cutting edge equipment, a therapy pool with an underwater treadmill and separate adult and pediatric gyms. We also offer outpatient services at the Pastega Regional Cancer Center. All outpatient services are one-on-one and feature therapist-driven treatment times. • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS - Current unencumbered Oregon Physical Therapy license required. - Healthcare Provider Level BLS required. - Must be able to travel to multiple points of care. • KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - Therapy and Counseling - Possess the skills and knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and cognitive conditions. Ability to provide counseling and guidance. - Business Writing - Strong business writing skills, including the ability to professionally communicate clinical content in written documentation that is easily understood by the end user. - Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues. Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas. - Team Building - Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. - Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues.
