Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at ProTouch Staffing summary:
The Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner provides PRN services, performing non-treatment C&P exams and health assessments primarily through interviews and physical assessments. The role requires familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions while utilizing specific evaluation techniques and tools. This position allows for flexible scheduling across various locations and requires a quick credentialing process along with the completion of necessary training.

Must be within 50 miles
VES facility open locations
- Chico- 10 days per week needed (multiple providers)
- Eureka- 10 days per week needed (multiple providers)
- Ridgecrest- 10 days per week needed (multiple providers)
Provider s own office locations- Provider must have their own office
- Susanville- 1 day per week needed
- Crescent City- 2 days per week needed
- Ft Irwin- 1 day per week needed
PRN as needed.
1099 compensation: -$400 for half day (4 hours)
-$950 for full day (8 hours)
-$650 for completing all required training and starting assignment
Details:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Willing to accept these specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, etc, or anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
- Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
The provider will need to complete their DMA training.
