We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Neonatology team in Macon, Georgia. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to neonates, including those in critical condition, and will work closely with neonatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to infants in a Level III NICU setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Neonatal Care: Provide advanced practice nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of common and complex neonatal conditions.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, and other specialists to create and implement individualized care plans for critically ill newborns.
Procedures & Interventions: Perform or assist in performing procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, umbilical line placement, and other neonatal interventions as needed.
Monitoring & Assessment: Monitor and assess the progress of neonates, adjusting care plans and treatments as necessary. Utilize advanced technology to monitor vital signs, respiratory status, and other health indicators.
Patient & Family Education: Educate parents and families about their infant s condition, treatment options, and long-term care needs. Provide emotional support to families navigating the challenges of neonatal care.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
