A reputable healthcare organization near Woodbury, CT, is looking for a dedicated professional to join their team on a temporary basis to provide exceptional patient care. This role offers an excellent balance of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position Highlights:
Schedule:
- 3 clinic days per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
- Some infrequent weekend and night call responsibilities.
- Weekend coverage: approximately 2-3 weekends per year.
- Night call: 1:10 rotation.
Scope of Practice:
- Mix of 80% hematology and 20% oncology.
- No internal medicine responsibilities.
- Focus on adult and geriatric patient care.
Setting:
- Combination of inpatient consults and outpatient clinic services.
- Estimated 10 patients per day for inpatient care and 15 patients per day in the outpatient clinic.
Team Composition:
- Join a well-established practice with 10 experienced physicians and 8 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Technology:
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for streamlined patient management.
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology is mandatory.
- Active Connecticut medical license (IMLC not accepted at this time).
- Preference for candidates within driving distance (no flights provided).
Additional Information:
- This role covers a leave of absence, offering a great opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center.
- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 130 days from offer acceptance.
