The Pain Management Nurse Practitioner provides essential support in an outpatient clinic setting, working closely under the supervision of a pain management physician. This locum position offers flexibility with a schedule of four days on and one week off, focusing on managing pain management patients without escalating opiate doses. The ideal candidate must hold an active CA license and have interventional pain experience, with opportunities for learning and teaching available.
Pain Management NP locum needed ASAP!
- Monday - Thursday (7a-5:30p with 30 min lunch) starting ASAP.
- No OT
- 4 days every other week or 2 days a week.
- The schedule is 1 week on, 1 week off for 3 months with the option to extend.
- Assignment: work under the direction of the pain management physician.
- Setting: Outpatient clinic. Low MME clinic.
- Duties: see pain management patients. NP/PA is not expected to escalate opiate doses. This is typically only done by the physician.
- Required Procedures: None. Procedures are optional. The physician is willing to teach if NP/PA is interested.
- EMR: Cerner
- Requirements:
- AANP or NCCPA certified
- Active CA license
- ACLS, BLS, DEA
- MUST HAVE INTERVENTIONAL PAIN EXPERIENCE
- Covid vaccinated
- Lodging and travel reimbursed with receipt(s)
