A Correctional Medicine Physician provides part-time internal, family, and urgent care to low-to-medium security inmates in a correctional facility. The role involves working 8 hours a week with a flexible month-to-month locum tenens arrangement, offering necessary travel and lodging assistance. Board certification in the relevant specialty and a Nebraska medical license are required for this position, with no night, weekend, or on-call duties involved.

  • Location: Eastern Nebraska (50 mins southwest of Omaha, NE)
  • Specialty: Internal Medicine / Family Medicine / Urgent Care / Primary Care
  • Requirements: NE license, Active DEA, Board Certified/Eligible in related specialty
  • Schedule: 8-hrs/week ; 1-day per week
  • Duration: ongoing locum tenens (month-to-month)
  • Compensation: up to $3,200/month
  • Travel, lodging (if needed), and malpractice provided


Client Description:

One of our largest clients manages most of the correctional medicine programs for numerous facilities across the Mid-West. As of now, there is an immediate need for a Physician to provide part-time coverage for 8-hrs per week. There are no calls, no weekends, or nights. Essentially, you ll be providing care inside of a clinic office that is located inside of a Correctional Facility surrounded by other PA s, NP s, and Medical Assistants. The patients are low-to-medium security inmates.
