Surgery - Critical Care Physician at Ascend Medical Staffing summary:
The Surgery - Critical Care Physician position requires board certification in Surgical Critical Care to provide clinical care in a Level II trauma center. This role involves weekend call coverage for trauma and acute care surgery services, along with responsibilities for rounding on admitted patients and responding to trauma activations. Required qualifications include ACLS certification and a minimum number of surgical patients logged in the last year.

Must be Board Certified or Eligible in Surgical Critical Care to be considered. We will decline any submissions who do not have this fellowship.o Location:
- MyMichigan Medical Center - Midland
o Clinic, Call, or Both:
- Weekend Call Only
- Covering Trauma and General Surgery call coverage, and Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service patients.
- Rounding on all admitted patients for Trauma Services and Acute Care Surgery Services; roughly 9am - 12pm on Saturday and Sunday. Census can vary 15 - 20 patients.
- Required to respond to all Code 1 Trauma activiations within 15 minutes, as we are a Level II trauma center.

- Six APPs (one to join in June 2024, one to join in August 2024)

o Required experience, training, and certifications:
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care to be considered for this opportunity.

o Case Logs:
- 50 patients (surgical or consultative) in the last 12 months
o Consider IMLC or waiting for a license:
o Credentialing Timeframe:
- Typically 30 days, but applications are prioritized according to start date
