As an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician, I evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of gynecologic and non-gynecologic conditions in women of all ages. I provide education on health, wellness, and family planning while managing common gynecological issues including pregnancy and infertility. My responsibilities include performing various procedures such as biopsies, contraception insertions, and the treatment of STIs.
The scope of privileges includes the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, disposition, and referral women of all ages with acute and chronic gynecologic and common non-gynecologic symptoms, illnesses, injuries, or conditions. Provide education on health, wellness, family planning, and the prevention and management of disease. Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions in accordance with medical staff policy.
- Manage common GYN issues to include pregnancy, infertility, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, and menopause Therapy of condyloma and intraepithelial neoplasia.
- Colposcopy with or without biopsy (ASCCP certification preferred)
- Intrauterine device insertion/removal
- Subcutaneous contraceptive rod insertion/removal
- Incision and drainage of cysts and minor abscesses
- Fitting of diaphragm or cervical cap
- Excision/biopsy of vulvar lesions
- Needle aspiration for culture
- Topical and local infiltration anesthesia
- Paracervical block (optional)
- Large loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) (optional)
