Job Summary

This position is responsible for procuring quality products at the lowest cost possible to support both Headquarters and franchise operations. The buyer will be responsible for; maintaining sufficient inventory levels, establishing and expanding vendor relationships, establishing yearly and promotional pricing and working cross-functionally to support organizational and team goals.

You Will

  • Research, negotiate, procure and maintain standing inventory items for resale and distribution to the franchise network.
  • Headquarters Office Support: Procure office/administratiion supplies, software, hardware, furniture, janitorial and vending supplies; as well as raw materials to support SERVPRO Professional Cleaning Products. Ensure all CapEx documentation is approved.
  • Maintain Item Master File in Great Plains for all purchased items. Process purchase orders and corresponding inventory transactions.
  • Sets inventory stocking levels based on lead time, historical sales and transit times.
  • Establish standard and promotional pricing throughout the year to support Product Sales and Marketing Initiatives; Maintain outlined profit margins for respective categories.
  • Develop competitive pricing analysis for inventory additiosn, as well as annual competitor pricing on all products.
  • Manage backorder report and release product within 24 hours after receipt.
  • Establish and expand vendor relationships; Partnership development and issue resolution.
  • Procure items in support of yearly Convention and promotional events.
  • Assist with drop ship orders, pricing and availability for Product Sales Team.
  • Use Salesforce to consistently provide product information and updates.
  • Confirm vendor receipt of purchase orders, delivery date and track shipments. Accurately enter information into Great Plains and provide updates to Product Sales and Warehouse Teams.
  • Assist Internal Departments - accounting, WHS, credit (inventory, invoice issues, receiving issues) in support of procurement process
  • Work cross-functionally with divisional teams to implement and support system/divisional changes.
  • Collect data and generate quarterly reports for divisional scorecard.
  • Support a continuous improvement attitude and environment. Strive to enhance offerings and results.

You Have

  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner.
  • Strong analytical ability. Act with integrity, initiative, and possess excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Goal orientated and team player.
  • Well organized and able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other related field preferred
  • High school diploma or relevant experience considered
