Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist in Iowa, Days / Nights We are looking for a dynamic NP/PA Hospitalist at Unity Point St Luke s i n Sioux City IA. You shall be joining a team of 10 MDs and 6 NPs. Requirements: Ideal candidate must have one year of acute care experience in Hospitalist / inpatient work but will consider strong NEW graduates who have at least 4 years of RN experience in ER/Med Surg/ICU/Telemetry. Hospital :

• 180 bed tertiary care / Level III Trauma center / acute care hospital.
• All Medical sub-specialists available (Cardiology, EP, Interventional cardiology, GI, Hem Oncology, Nephrology, Pulmonary Critical care, Pediatric hospitalists, Dermatology, Rheum etc.)
• All Surgical sub-specialists available (Bariatric surgery, General Surgery, Urology, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Ob-Gyn etc. but NO CT / Neurosurgery.
• EMR Epic. All providers use the same templates and order sets to reduce the variation of practice.

Schedule and Staffing:

• Week on and off, 7p-7a / 7a-7p 12 hr shifts (1 Day and 1 Night positions available)
• Day time staffed with total of 4 physicians and 2 NP. Night time staffed with 2 NPs.
• Night Position - Alternate weeks between ICU and Hospitalist coverage. Do both admissions and cross coverage. Average admissions in ICU is about 0-2 and average admissions on the floor is about 4-8.
• Day Position - Round on 14-15 patients and take admission call for 1 hour a day (1p-2p)

Pay :

• $115-135k per year depending on experience and $20k bonus for 4-year commitment
