Medical Oncologist Opportunity in Annapolis, MD - Full-time, permanent position Position Objective: As a Medical Oncologist, you will deliver comprehensive care to oncology patients in compliance with state and national medical standards. This position ensures the highest level of patient-centered care, education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team. Essential Job Duties: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Provide patient education and counseling tailored to their medical and emotional needs. - Maintain active licensure and fulfill continuing medical education (CME) requirements as mandated by Maryland state law. - Collaborate with fellow physicians and healthcare providers to coordinate patient treatments and therapies. - Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and make referrals to appropriate specialists when necessary. - Perform all duties in compliance with standards set by: - State of Maryland - BPQA (Board of Physicians Quality Assurance) - AMA (American Medical Association) - HCFA (Health Care Financing Administration) - AAHS (Anne Arundel Health System) policies. Educational/Experience Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited medical school (MD or equivalent degree). - Completion of residency in a specialty related to oncology. Required Licenses and Certifications: - Current and unrestricted Maryland state medical license. - DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) certifications. - Board certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology-Oncology is required.
