We are looking for an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join our dynamic team and contribute to our award-winning dessert program.
Responsibilities:
Pastry Preparation
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, pies, cookies, and other baked goods under the guidance of our Corporate Pastry Chef.
- Ensure every dessert meets our high standards of quality, flavor, and presentation.
Ingredient & Inventory Management
- Handle and store ingredients properly to maintain freshness and sanitation.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Corporate Pastry Chef to ensure timely ordering of supplies.
Quality Control
- Conduct regular quality checks to maintain consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
- Adjust recipes or methods as needed under the direction of the Corporate Pastry Chef.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage to prevent contamination.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the pastry team to execute dessert menus and specials.
- Communicate effectively with the Corporate Pastry Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 3 years of pastry experience in a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen best practices.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
