Shift-Days Job Overview: Monitors the daily performances of the LIS according to the guidelines established, assists with the on-going maintenance of the LIS, and conduct introductory training for all laboratory computer users and instruct existing personnel on new procedures and functionality of the LIS. Serves as a resource to users regarding application functionality, and developing the application in order to meet the needs of the users. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel 3-4 years experience in CAP accredited laboratory Job Responsibilities: Performs file maintenance for new clients, this includes but is not limited to client definitions in Sunquest Clinical and Clinical Financial. Testing to assure accuracy with the reporting of results according to the client's specifications. Define new providers/physicians as needed. Monitors preventative maintenance programs, assists in the maintenance of laboratory computer equipment and troubleshoots miscellaneous problems. Monitors system and interfaces performance to ensure patient and laboratory data integrity including but not limited to, ADT records and errors, results records and errors, billing, patient reports. Efforts focused on maximizing the system's performance and availability. Keeps current with information on new developments, techniques and methods regarding laboratory services, computer hardware and software. Assists the LIS Administrator in implementing system upgrades, enhancements and new acquisitions. This includes system testing, documentation, and staff training of new procedures.
