About the Role
The Process Engineer works alongside the Engineering and Production teams to maximize yields, improve safety, and improve ergonomics through data collection and analysis. They use CAD software to create and update drawings and parts related to all production projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
- Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing process, identify areas of improvements, and recommend solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Provide training and guidance to production teams on new process, procedures, and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Facilitate cross functional team meetings to communicate project milestones and timeline.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- 2+ years’ work experience as a Process Engineer.
- 2+ years’ work experience within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
- Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, and other CAD software.
- Experience with process automation.
- Expert knowledge of production management systems, machinery, and tools used in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
