Warehouse Assistant
Location : Conway, AR
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Job Summary :
The Warehouse Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring the accurate receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment used in telecommunications services and construction projects. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Inventory Management :
    • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Maintain inventory records and ensure stock levels are accurate and up to date.
    • Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Order Fulfillment :
    • Pick, pack, and prepare materials and equipment for outgoing shipments to job sites.
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to support field operations.
  • Warehouse Organization :
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
    • Properly label and store materials to ensure easy accessibility.
  • Equipment Handling :
    • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in a safe manner (training provided, if necessary).
    • Ensure all tools and equipment are stored securely and are in good working condition.
  • Communication and Coordination :
    • Collaborate with field teams and project managers to address material and equipment needs.
    • Communicate shortages, damages, or discrepancies in inventory promptly.
  • Safety Compliance :
    • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
    • Identify and report potential safety issues to management.
Qualifications :
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory management preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software (preferred).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to complete training (preferred).
Work Environment :
  • This role primarily operates in a warehouse environment with occasional outdoor exposure.
  • May require standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
