Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Continuity Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure the organization can continue its operations during and after any disruptive events. This role requires a proactive individual who can anticipate potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. The Business Continuity Coordinator will work closely with various departments to ensure that all business continuity plans are up-to-date and effective. This position requires excellent communication skills, as you will be responsible for training staff on business continuity procedures and coordinating with external agencies during emergencies. You will also be responsible for conducting regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify vulnerabilities and develop appropriate response strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, emergency planning, and project management. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure plans are up-to-date.
• Train staff on business continuity procedures.
• Coordinate with external agencies during emergencies.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business continuity plans.
• Update and maintain documentation related to business continuity.
• Conduct regular drills and simulations to test plans.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure data backup and recovery processes are in place.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Provide support during actual incidents and emergencies.
• Review and update business continuity policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management.
• Assist in the development of crisis communication plans.
• Evaluate and recommend business continuity software and tools.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and trends.
• Participate in business continuity forums and networks.
• Support the development of a culture of resilience within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business continuity or risk management.
• Strong understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with business continuity software and tools.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses.
• Experience in training and educating staff on business continuity.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certification in Business Continuity Planning (CBCP) or similar is a plus.
• Experience in coordinating with external agencies during emergencies.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
• Ability to travel as needed.
