JOB SUMMARY

Night Auditors ensure appropriate checking-in andchecking-out of our guests while providing excellent customer service to ourguests professionally and courteously. Night Auditors will accommodateour guests to ensure their visit with us is not just a stay but an awesomeexperience! This role will also assist with questions or concerns andwill provide the best resolution for our guests. In addition to taking care ofour guests, Night Auditors ensure all overnight audit paperwork is complete,during their 11 pm to 7 am shift, and prepare for the hotel for the morning. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a conciergeto guests (may include making restaurant reservations, providing directions,recommending area attractions, etc.); becoming familiar with the propertylocation, types of rooms available and location of rooms, room rates, andactivities and services that are offered by the property
Review guestreservation status and identify the length of time that guests will spend withus; present options and alternatives to guests, help guests in making choices;use suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and other services offeredby the property
Accommodateguests with registration, assign hotel rooms, generate secure room cards, andassist guests with special requests if needed; assist in pre-registration andreservation of rooms for upcoming reservations; monitor and track same-dayreservations and future reservations when necessary; understanding of thecancellation procedures; understand room status and room status tracking
Verify guests'method of payment and follow established credit-check procedures; adhere tocredit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures; post and fileall charges to guest master and city ledger accounts, follow procedures forissuing and closing safe deposit boxes; understand proper mailing, packaging,and message-handling procedures
Input guestinformation in the PMS system and communicate information to appropriate hotelpersonnel; ensure the front desk area is clean and presentable to our guests; postSuite Shop purchases to guest folios; review and confirm the pass-on log andbulletin board is accurate daily
Worksclosely with the housekeeping department to ensure room status reports are upto date, notifies the housekeeping department of early check-ins, latecheck-outs, special request reservations, and part-day rooms, coordinatesguestroom maintenance requests with the engineering and maintenance departments
Understandthe business demands can shift often and make it necessary to move employeesfrom their accustomed shift to other shifts; attend departmental meetings; becognizant of daily activities and meetings on the property
Reportunusual occurrences or requests to the Manager or Assistant Manager; understandall safety and emergency procedures; as well as accident prevention policies ofthe property
Work theprimary shift of 11 pm to 7 am, perform overnight audits with completion ofpaperwork, prepare lobby and breakfast where applicable.
Performother tasks as necessary or required to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
High-school graduate orequivalent and one year of work-related experience (customer service, hotel industry,management, restaurant administration, human resources administration, legal, educational,training & development, financial is strongly preferred).
Proficient in MS Word,Excel, and PowerPoint.
Data entry and database managementexperience.
Telephone etiquetteexperience.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Understanding of thehospitality industry (preferred).
Previous experience inthe hospitality industry (preferred).
Previous experience as aNight Auditor.
Bilingual communicationskills (preferred).
REQUIRED SKILLS
Must have experiencewith front office equipment.
Must be flexible to workvaried schedules, specifically 11 pm to 7 am.
Excellent written andoral communication skills.
Excellent organizationalskills.
Must have anunderstanding and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Must have the physicalability to walk, sit, and stand during scheduled shifts.
Must be able to lift upto 40 lbs.
