We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support multiple Outpatient Orthopedic facilities in Nassau County, New York. We provide therapists with access to an outstanding continuing education program and offer above-average benefits.

*Full-time: *Monday-Friday, 7a-3:30p or 8a-4:30p

*Pay: *Open to discussion - mainly based off years of experience in the field and role.
* Physical Therapist Assistant License/Certificate upon hire

Tasks -
* Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self management and assistive equipment.
* Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues.
* Reviews available medical records and obtains pertinent medical history from patient or family.
* Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis appropriate assessment tests and measurements, including appropriate outcome assessment tool(s).
* Determines plan for care, and/or appropriate therapeutic interventions to achieve stated goals.
* As appropriate / required, completes required outcome tools and any additional documentation for outpatients, acute stroke patients and for specialty units/programs
* Utilizes available resources (equipment, support personnel, educational resources) to maximize efficiency and productivity and to meet personal developmental needs.
* Willing to be cross-trained to treat any diagnosis or level of care.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
