*Tax Manager - Senior Tax Manager*

$120,000 - $180,000

Hybrid or Remote – need to be located within Illinois/Indiana

Here you’ll be joining a very casual type of firm, it’s not a cutthroat position. It’s very family orientated. They're a small accounting firm.

This is brand new role; the time has come for the Owner that he needs a number 2. He right now is very in the weeds and he’s at capacity. There is opportunity to grow the firm with a tone of business he’s having to hold off. With you onboard, this is the vision.

Partner track is definitely an option for you here if you want it, with equity options as well.

Their core client base are Scorps, small businesses and their owners plus the accounting services.

You’ll be client facing, managing communications and new business development. You’ll be taking on the more complex projects, tax planning and projection. and overseeing the team day to day

You don’t need to have your CPA. The Owner is an EA. What you will bring to the table is a background working heavily on Scorps and tax experience across business entities and individuals at a level of reviewing returns not just preparation.

You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely fitting your work in with your personal schedule. The team, currently with 5 people, all live in Illinois or Indiana so on occasion you’ll have meetings, catch ups etc. to keep the team connected.

Working remotely, you’ll be a technology focused person. They use Thomas Reuters and QuickBooks online. You’ll be used to working on automated processes and ideally be working in a hybrid or remote capacity right now.

Timeline of when you’d start? With busy season starting, he’s ideally looking for a May/June start but happy to get conversations started now.
