Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in landlord-tenant disputes, including eviction proceedings, non-payment, lease violations, and other related matters.
• Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under New York State landlord-tenant laws.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Handle all aspects of litigation from initial client intake through trial and resolution.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
• 6+ months of experience in landlord-tenant litigation or related areas of law.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
