Job Overview The Corporate Sales Manager for Faena New York will be responsible for driving revenue growth through rooms and event business from the Corporate Segment, encompassing Corporate Transient and Group Business - with a focus on Entertainment. Attention to local corporate, entertainment and local direct individual travelers will round out the position. This position will prospect and create tailored group offerings, building lasting client relationships, and will ensure seamless execution of group business from booking to post-event follow-up.
The ideal candidate for this role requires a blend of strategic sales capability, understanding of luxury hospitality, and the ability to build long-term, high-value relationships across diverse customer segments.
Job Description - Develop and implement sales strategies to increase corporate, entertainment and local business by targeting small to mid-size corporations, individual travelers, local businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
- Target and cultivate relationships with corporate clients, entertainment contacts, meeting planners, event organizers, and third-party agencies to secure new group business and build long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate corporate account contracts, manage relationships with corporate travel teams - ensuring satisfaction and maintaining room night production.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for group bookings and special packages that combine the hotel's rooms with its distinctive dining experiences, nightlife, and wellness offerings.
- Coordinate with the Front Office, Reservations, and Guest Experience teams to ensure smooth booking and check-in/check-out processes for guests.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to promote dining experiences, including the Living Room, El Secreto and La Cava, and integrate these offerings into corporate and group packages.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all group clients, providing exceptional guest service and resolving any issues or concerns quickly and professionally.
- Conduct client meetings, site tours, and proposals, tailoring offerings to fit the unique needs of each corporate account or group booker.
- Partner with the hotel's operations and event planning teams to ensure smooth execution of group bookings, meetings, and events.
- Ensure the group's requirements are communicated effectively to the operational teams, including F&B, front-of-house and back-of-house departments.
- Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback for future improvements.
- Keep up to date with trends and competitive analysis within the luxury hotel market in New York, the US, and internationally to identify new opportunities for group business.
- Track and analyze group sales performance and market trends to refine strategies and stay ahead of industry shifts.
- Work with the Area Director of Sales and Director of Sales and Marketing to adjust strategies as needed based on competitor activity and market conditions.
- Manage corporate transient and group sales budgets and revenue forecasts, ensuring profitability on each piece of group business.
- Partner with the Marketing team to develop targeted promotional campaigns, digital advertising, and seasonal offerings that highlight the hotel's amenities and unique features.
- Liaise with the Spa and events teams to design exclusive packages that include spa treatments or private events for group guests.
- Track and analyze corporate transient and group sales performance, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates to senior management, highlighting key developments and achievements.
- Ensure that sales targets for corporate transient and group segments are met, and that client feedback is regularly collected to improve services and offerings.
- Help drive the hotel's online presence by working with the Marketing team to create compelling digital content and promotions that attract local, corporate and group guests, particularly through social media, and direct channels.
- Collaborate with the hotel's Public Relations teams to develop stories, press releases, and content that promote the hotel's amenities and services.
- Implement special promotions or themed offers, especially during peak seasons or off-peak periods, to drive bookings and increase occupancy.
- Ensure that transient guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay, proactively addressing any needs or concerns to guarantee a memorable experience.
- Work with the Guest Experience team to create personalized packages for clients, incorporating the hotel's luxury amenities such as private dining, exclusive spa experiences, and VIP access to nightlife events.
- Ensure all guests have an experience that encourages repeat business, positive reviews, and referrals.
Qualifications - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in corporate and/or group sales or within the luxury hotel or hospitality industry, preferably in a competitive urban market like New York City.
- A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the local market, including corporate, corporate group and social landscape.
- Proven success in generating and closing group sales, with experience managing large-scale events and corporate bookings.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel management systems, CRM tools, and online booking platforms.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to develop and execute sales strategies and promotions that align with the hotel's brand and offerings.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Skills - The role is client-facing and requires flexibility, with occasional evening and weekend work depending on client needs and events.
- Occasional travel may be required for industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
