Overview
HarperCollins is seeking an Associate Sales Manager to join the Online Sales team. In this highly visible role, the Associate Sales Manager will work closely with their Online Sales colleagues and other internal departments to analyze sales trends and performance data, drive category growth, and secure key merchandising opportunities. This role requires careful coordination with editorial, marketing, and publicity as a means of positioning titles for maximum exposure, sales, and growth.
Responsibilities
Prepare and present titles to the Overdrive, Hoopla, Google and Apple editorial teams including strategic and innovative ways to grow revenue by category
Analyze category and title performance metrics to identify growth opportunities for frontlist and backlist titles, including providing forecasts for digital acquisitions
Liaise between accounts and internal departments to champion Harper title performance
Support Spotify account reps with reporting and account needs
Field general requests regarding account-related DA and ebook issues from internal stakeholders
Create and present resources for DA education and best practices
Qualifications
College degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of publishing sales experience
Knowledge of online sales channel (digital audio a plus), evolving e-commerce trends and the overall book market
Experience working with digital marketing and metadata preferred
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and take initiative in a deadline-driven environment
Exceptional analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Proven ability to effectively communicate with employees across all levels within an organization
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint

The salary for this position is $70,000-$80,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
