Position Specific Description

This role will be a strategic business partner for NextEra Energy Resources,leading integrated marketing and communications strategies. It involves developing, implementing, and measuring ROI-based communication plans to support the objectives of various business units. This position is responsible for engaging with customers and other external audiences to enhance the company's reputation as a reliable provider of all forms of energy. It also aims to raise awareness among customers and other key stakeholders of the companys initiatives to improve its service and reliability. Additional direct outreach to customer audiences through direct mail and other channels, participation in community events, and proactive media outreach in collaboration with the media relations team may also be required.

Position specific functions:

• Lead a dynamic team of communications professionals, coaching and directing their performance in accordance with the M&C teams high standards for excellence.

• Serve as a NEER M&C leadership team member in helping strengthen the capabilities of the team.

• Highly confident when engaging media and executing media strategies and tactics.

• Support securing impactful opportunities via the NEER thought leadership plan media interviews, speaking engagements to enhance the reputation of NEER.

• Participate in managing the NEER communications team budget.

• Work closely with NEER federal, state and local government relations staff.

• Serve as M&Cs key relationship owner of select NEER business units to help drive strategic messaging, harnessing multiple communications channels to reach audiences.

• Provide strategic communications counsel to NEER business unit leaders and their respective teams.

• Develop, improve, standardize and manage work processes to ensure consistent performance that meets leader expectations, including cross-functional collaboration inside and outside of M&C.

Job Overview

Develops, improves, standardizes and manages work processes to ensure consistent performance that meets client expectations, including cross-functional collaboration inside and outside Marketing and Communication

Provides communications counsel to senior leaders and managers

Manages the effective use of communication channels

Leads a team of communications managers and professionals, coaching and directing their performance in accordance with the Marketing and Communications teams high standards for excellence in client service

Ensures disciplined budget management

Builds and lead high-performing teams as well as coach individuals to develop to their fullest potential

Develops as well as follow critical business processes to ensure quality and timely execution of initiatives

Performs market research and analytics

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High School Grad / GED

Bachelor's Degree

Experience:10+ years

Supervisor/Management Experience:5+ years
