One of these focus areas is Content Excellence. The candidate in this role will report to the Content Excellence Lead and support the content creation engine of the future, as Genentech’s 1Marketing organization undergoes an unprecedented, genAI-enabled transformation of its content creation processes. This role will execute content strategy at the enterprise level, impacting all Genentech brands and marketers by enabling the fast creation of impactful personalized content.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEstablish, evaluate, and iterate content creation workflows across asset types and use cases as applications expand and genAI technology evolves, collaborating with and seeking input from brand marketing to surface opportunities to improve content quality and efficiency.Support content activation activities, including measurement, identification of business needs, upskilling, content champion engagement, and change management to promote engagement and manage change effectively.Provide hands-on support and coaching to marketers across brand teams, helping them navigate content creation tools and ensuring consistent application of best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable workflows for content creation, ensuring alignment with brand strategies and overall 1Marketing goals.Develop and maintain operational documentation and training materials to support content creators, ensuring that all team members have access to up-to-date resources and guidelines.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of digital content.Contribute to initiatives that have broader organizational impact across the 1Marketing Function and advancing progress towards our CMG outcomes.Lead and/or participate in flexibly deployed work teams across the CMG network, contributing novel ideas or approaches based on their areas of expertise.Work autonomously to make decisions and act, in close alignment with the full product value proposition, customer positioning, and Squad priorities.Minimum Candidate Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree.5 years minimum work experience, with 3 years working in a marketing role or, an Advanced Degree with 3 years of working experience with 2 years in a marketing role may be considered.Strong customer understanding including developing/utilizing personas, customer journeys, other segmentation tools, etc.Understanding of partners, their roles and leveraging their expertise to partner effectively.The ability to articulate the business need or strategy behind campaigns or pieces of content to effectively engage and mobilize key internal stakeholders.Experience with sole ownership of tactics or pieces; ability to articulate business problems, identify solutions and own content development all the way through execution.Experience leading/managing Agency partners including developing agency briefs.The ability to navigate the PRC process; take various types of content through PRC effectively and compliantly from start to finish; Effectively utilizing historical information to inform the process.Contributed to integrated customer experiences across audiences and channels including multicultural and inclusive marketing tactics.Effectively managed AOR SOWs + POs, participated in MMix analysis and investment decision-making processes.Campaign & Tactical Planning and ICT development.Direct experiences with interpreting and applying market, customer, product or competitor data and utilizing data effectively; Have experiences measuring success using metrics and applying data to nuance future actions.Develop and lead content for internal & external events of various sizes.Pulled through content effectively with field colleagues.Experience effectively orchestrating pieces of content through digital channels.LocationThis position is based in South San Francisco, CA and offers a hybrid schedule working from the office 3 days per week.Relocation assistance is not available at this time.Roche Operating PrinciplesPut Patients First: I always act as if patients I know are in the room and do what’s best for them.Follow the science: I seek answers through experiments, data and debate, and act on facts.Act as one team: I care, collaborate and commit without boundaries, and trust others to do their part.Embrace differences: I seek diverse perspectives, invite opposing views, and challenge myself and others.Accelerate learning: I push to learn new things even if difficult, and openly share my successes and failures.Simplify radically: I eliminate complexity, reuse with pride, and accomplish more with less.Make impact now: I take accountability to do what’s right, deliver value fast, and don’t wait for certainty.Think long term: I choose actions today that benefit future generations.The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location in California is $155,200 - $288,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
