Sales Manager WorkLife Wellbeing at THE MART, a luxury fitness and wellness facility in the heart of River North, Chicago, is seeking an energetic and results-oriented Sales Manager to join our growing team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in driving membership growth and contributing to the success of our growing community. About WorkLife Wellbeing at THE MART: WorkLife Wellbeing at THE MART is a state-of-the-art wellness center that redefines the fitness experience. Opened just 18 months ago, we offer cutting-edge equipment, expert-led classes, and personalized wellness programs in a sophisticated and inspiring setting. We cater to a diverse clientele, including corporate partners, MART tenants, and the River North community.
This is a full-time onsite salaried position with an onsite minimum 40-hour work week Monday-Fridays and the very occasional Saturday. We are closed all major holidays and on Sundays.
Day-to-Day: Your daily activities will involve a dynamic mix of sales-focused tasks, with a priority on conducting engaging tours for prospective members and converting them to members. You will also be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with potential clients, collaborating with other departments, and analyzing sales data to optimize performance. You will also have direct oversight of the Events and Marketing Coordinator, supporting their daily activities and ensuring they achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) associated to social media, event bookings & execution, member communications & monitoring that marketing assests for both inclub & digital platforms are up to date.
What You'll Do: - Drive Revenue: Achieve and exceed monthly membership goals.
- Own the Member Onboarding Experience: Guide prospective members through the sales process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
- Execute Sales Strategies: Execute membership acquisition strategies and exceed sales targets in collaboration with the Director of Sales.
- Optimize the Sales Process: Continuously analyze and refine the sales process to maximize efficiency and conversion rates. Coach, mentor, and oversee these processes with the team with support from the General Manager.
- Support Marketing Efforts: Provide feedback and collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator on membership & other marketing materials.
- Generate Leads: Develop and execute lead generation activations within THE MART & WorkLife Wellbeing.
- Maximize Revenue Streams: Promote and drive sales of ancillary services, including personal training and event space rentals.
- Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with members, prospective members, and corporate partners.
- Partnership Development: Identify and refer potential corporate and large partner opportunities to the Director of Sales. Support new partnership activations, events, and onsite club tours & signups.
- Analyze & Track Performance: Meticulously track sales activities and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Foster Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager, Marketing Coordinator, and Fitness Manager.
- Operational Support: Support the team to ensure the club is operating efficiently to ensure an optimal member experience.
Who You Are: - Experienced: 2+ years of proven success in sales, exceeding targets in a fast-paced environment, preferably high-end.

- Needs-Based Sales Approach: Skilled at understanding client needs and tailoring solutions.
Qualifications: - 2+ years of proven success in sales.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with marketing as it relates to colleteral development, social media & tracking/driving new member leads & conversions.
- Experience with CRM software is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for health and wellness.
Bonus Points: - Experience working for a high-end fitness, wellness, or hospitality organization.
- Familiarity with guerrilla marketing tactics.
- Strong coaching and mentorship skills.
- Digital Marketing experience.
- Experience with Canva.
