We are Hiring a Territory Manager in the West!

Job Summary:

The Sales Representative plays a critical role in promoting and selling water industry products and services to customers. This position involves identifying potential customers, conducting sales presentations, and negotiating contracts. The Sales Representative collaborates with cross functional teams to address customer needs, perform market analysis, and implement sales strategies. Additionally, this role involves maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent customer service. Strong sales skills, a thorough understanding of the water industry, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Generating Leads

Identifying potential clients and target markets

Conducting market research to understand customer needs and preferences

Using various methods to generate leads such as cold calling, networking, and referrals

Maintaining a pipeline of potential clients

Building and Maintaining Relationships

Establishing rapport and trust with clients

Understanding and addressing clients' needs and concerns

Providing excellent customer service

Regularly following up with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify potential opportunities

Conducting Sales Presentations and Negotiations

Preparing and delivering effective sales presentations

Negotiating terms and pricing with clients

Utilizing persuasive and effective communication skills

Closing deals and securing contracts

Meeting Sales Targets and Goals

Setting and achieving sales targets

Developing and implementing sales strategies

Tracking and reporting on sales performance

Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions

Collaborating with Team Members

Working closely with marketing and product teams to understand products and services

Collaborating with colleagues to share ideas and strategies

Providing support and assistance to team members when needed

Staying Up-to-date with Industry and Product Knowledge

Continuously learning about industry trends and developments

Keeping up-to-date with product knowledge and features

Attending workshops, trainings, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge

Managing Accounts and Sales Process

Maintaining accurate and organized records of sales activities and client information

Managing accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction

Coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of products or services

Managing contracts and agreements with clients

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.

2+ years sales or sales related experience (Water/ Wastewater industries preferred).

Thorough knowledge of consultative/value-based selling.

Knowledge of mechanical and pumping designs; hydraulic, pneumatics, water flow, diesel, gas, and electric motors in related field of pumps, pumping systems, preferred

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g., SalesForce, CRM systems).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams.

Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Travel requirements 50% of the time.

Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques.

Salary range:

$72,300.00 - $130,100.00
