Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Pricing, the Pricing Manager will be instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive pricing strategies to enhance profitability while maintaining client satisfaction. This role involves fostering firm-wide awareness of pricing best practices and their impact on firm operations. The Pricing Manager will engage in all aspects of pricing from launching pricing initiatives, developing proposals for new opportunities, and conducting post-mortem reviews. Additional responsibilities include working with other Pricing team members to maintain a repository of standardized pricing language, pricing, and rate arrangement approvals, and supporting the annual rate review process. The Pricing Manager will contribute to a collaborative and innovative pricing environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Consult with attorneys, firm management, clients, and other firm personnel to provide tailored pricing solutions based on their unique needs
- Propose pricing structures, fee estimates, discounts and alternative fee arrangements that align with client expectations while focusing on the firms realization and profitability goals
- Analyze matter data, client data, market data, and market trends to ensure the firm remains competitive
- Develop education materials and conduct training sessions on pricing strategies, tools and best practices
- Stay apprised of market trends, pricing tools, pricing technologies, and pricing best practices to support evergreen process improvement
- Maintain an organized repository of pricing language, rate arrangements, and panel rate appointments
- Maintain and develop pricing tools and KPI reports
- Assist with the annual rate review process and other pricing governance processes
- Assist with special projects related to pricing initiatives as needed
